The Farmhouse at Aurora Cellars is a spectacular 1800s renovated home nestled amongst the rolling hills and vineyards of the Aurora Cellars Estate Winery. This charming house is a rare gem in the heart of Leelanau County and in the center of wine country.
Our Farmhouse house has always been reserved for couples just married on the Aurora Cellars vineyard, but this year we have decided to open it up to you! It sleeps up to 6 people and has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. Plus, we’ve curated unique seasonal experiences for your stay. Read on to learn more and check on availability.
The Space
The house and surrounding grounds are part of the 47 acre estate and frequently hosts special events during the prime summer and fall weekends. Meticulously manicured property is the back drop to 100 year old black walnut trees and gargantuan weeping willows. The house is fully equipped for short or long term stays and has something to offer in any season.
Located to the North of the house is a 6 person electric sauna that is perfect for after a long day exploring all of Leelanau and the Sleeping Bear Dunes.
Also located out back you will find a three burner Weber grill and all of the utensils needed.
As you walk into the house you will be greeted by the living room and fireplace where guest often find themselves migrating to, before and after meals, as it overlooks the vineyards and grounds. The Kitchen is in-between the dining room and living room with a private bathroom.
Upstairs you will find three bedrooms, all with comfortable King beds and individually controlled baseboard heating. Perfect to accommodate the needs of each guest in the chilly Fall and Winter season.
Located on the property you will also find a groomed ski and snowshoe trail and year round hiking trails around the vineyard. The Aurora Cellars tasting room is roughly a five minute walk from the front door of the estate to the front door of the tasting room – no need to drive!

Looking forward to sitting by the farmhouse fireplace with a delicious glass of Aurora Cellars wine? Aurora Cellars offers complimentary wine delivery for our guests. Place your order in advance and your wine will be stocked and waiting for you as you walk in the door.
Grocery Delivery
Don’t waste precious relaxation time shopping for your groceries! Create a detailed list of 10 or more items at least 4 days prior to arrival and Aurora Cellars staff will have them waiting in the farmhouse when you arrive. $50 service fee.
Farm to Table Private Chef
Bring “Up North” into your own kitchen. Enjoy an in-home, private artisanal dining experience with a local chef. Aurora Cellars wine stewards will work with the chef to pair the custom-tailored menu with the perfect Aurora Cellars wines. Groceries purchased in advance by the Chef and 4 bottles of paired wine (prices vary based on wine selection). Scheduling based on availability and needs to be booked at least 2 weeks in advance, as early as possible.
Wine and Winter Wonderland
Snowshoe through the Aurora Cellars trails to our charming Tuscan-inspired tasting room, and select 5 wines of your choice paired with a toasty, locally catered lunch featuring Leelanau County’s 9 Bean Rows croissants and homemade soup made with all local Michigan ingredients. Learn about our award-winning wine selections from an Aurora Cellars team member while you leisurely enjoy your pairings for up to 90 minutes. Prefer to enjoy your tasting in a private igloo? Book your own private igloo for up to 6 people and cuddle up under a cozy Aurora Cellars blanket that is yours to take with you. Must book at least 1 week in advance, openings based on availability.
Northern Michigan Virtual Cooking Class
While staying warm and cozy in the farmhouse kitchen, be a part of a virtual cooking class with Traverse City’s very own Fustini’s Oils &Vinegars. This interactive class is led by experienced chefs in our Northern Michigan community and invites you to discover new dishes and techniques right from your home while pairing these new dishes with our very own Aurora Cellars wine. Groceries and wine need to be purchased in advance and will be delivered by Aurora staff. Scheduling must be done 2 weeks in advance.
Private Yoga Sessions
Need to de-stress? Find your zen with your very own certified yoga instructor from the Leelanau Wellness Collective. Choose from a variety of levels of Hatha, Vinyasa, and Restorative yoga. As well as Face Yoga, Mobility Yoga, Stress Management, Breath Control, and Meditation. Instructor will come to the farmhouse and provide mats for a 1-hour session.
Massages on Property
Let it all go with an in-home, highly trained, certified massage therapist who offers a variety of high-quality massages that are sure to bring you inner balance. Therapist will bring a massage table and transform the Farmhouse into a tranquil atmosphere. Prices vary based on the type of massage and length. Couples massages available.
Sleigh Rides in the Snow
Hop on a 45-55 minute sleigh ride through 120-acres of woods and fields at Fantail Farms. During your trip, keep an eye out for the possibility of spotting Bald Eagles, Whitetail Deer, and other forest critters! There are a variety of sleighs to choose from – from a cozy two-seater to a larger 8 seater! Based on availability. Additional options to take on your ride: Aurora lap blanket, thermos for 2 filled with warm spiced mulled wine, and 2 spill-proof wine glasses.
Hang Workshop
“Hang Workshop” is a studio where you and your group can create beautiful art, from wood signs to wreath making to decorating your own stainless-steel tumblers. Additional options to enjoy at Art Studio: 4 bottles of Aurora wine chosen for you, disposable wine glasses, and a to-go cheese platter for 6-8 people, all delivered to the Farmhouse prior to the activity.
