About Our Wines

2017 Brut Rose

Download Specification Sheet

The 2017 Brut Rose was made from 100% Pinot Noir grown on the Leelanau Peninsula. The fruit was hand harvested and whole cluster
pressed to ensure the bright cherry aromatics found in Pinot Noir were preserved in order to shine through on the nose following fermentation.

The wine was produced in the charmat method to allow the wine to show more of the varietal characteristics. This sparkling wine is fresh, crisp, and refreshing with clean cherry aromatics. It is a wine that pairs well with ceviche, shrimp cocktail, and many other types of fresh seafood. It is also a wonderful pairing with Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine.
2017 Pinot Grigio

Pinot Grigio is a varietal that thrives in the growing conditions of the Leelanau Peninsula. The Aurora 2017 Pinot Grigio was an ideal growing season with long warm days and cooler nights. The climate conditions created ripe fruit with intense aromatics of pear and lemon.

The fruit was pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks where it was cold stabilized and kept at cooler temperatures until being bottled in order to preserve the bright fruit aromatics and crisp acid. This wine has a round mid-palate with a long finish and bright acid. It is a versatile wine that can be paired with lighter summer fair or can balance a richer creamier cuisine.
2017 Medium-Sweet Riesling

Aurora’s medium sweet riesling has beautiful stone fruit aromatics with hints of minerality from the soil where it is grown on the Leelanau Peninsula. The fruit that was harvested had a perfect balance of sugar and acid, which helped create this lovely wine. When consuming this Riesling, you will find a desirable level of sweetness up front followed by a perfect balanced acidity on the finish. We recommend pairing this wine with salads with crumbled blue cheese, slightly spicy Asian cuisine, grilled chicken, pork, and fish, and some savory desserts.

Radiance

Download Specification Sheet

Cherry, vanilla, and dark fruit aromas will swirl around your glass. Radiance is a lovely medium- bodied dry red blend of Michigan fruit. It
is a blend of both hybrid and vinifera grapes that allows for a richer fuller color and more complex flavors. The Marechal Foch and Leon Millot are early ripening hybrids that are inky and provide much of the rich red color. The Chancellor provides complementary fruit flavors and a strong tannin component. The Cabernet Franc adds more structure along with acidity to the finish. Radiance had a medium to long finish and will compliment a large assortment of cuisine. We recommend serving Radiance with darker poultry, most types of game, and lean cuts of red meat.
